What We Believe

God

We believe that God is Omnipotent (all-powerful), Omniscient, (all-knowing), Omnipresent (ever-present)[Psalm 139:1-10], triune (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) [John 16:12-15,Luke 3:21,22] and eternal [Deut. 33:27]. We believe that He is the creator of heaven and earth, [Genesis 1:1-4, John 1:1-3] and that He sent His Son to redeem mankind from sin [Col. 1:19,20]. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God [John 3:16], the author of our salvation [Eph. 2:1-10] and the head of the Church[Col. 1:18,19]. We believe that Jesus is divine as well as human [Hebrews 1:1-4]. That he came to earth in bodily form lived a sinless, perfect life, died on the cross and rose on the third day.

The Bible

We believe that the only rule of faith and practice for Christians is the Bible. We believe that in its original languages it is without error and Holy Spirit inspired [2Tim. 3:16,17]. The canon of scripture which includes the sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments are the books that God intended for His believers to read and study.

Worship

We believe that it is vital for Christians to gather together for worship. We believe that when we gather we should praise God, pray for and with one another, listen to Biblical preaching and share the Lord’s Supper [Acts 2:46,47]. We serve the Lord’s Supper every Sunday in worship and it is open for all Christian believers to participate in regardless of what Church they attend.

Salvation

The Bible shows us in Acts Chapter 2 verses 37-41 that relationship with the Lord is entered into by believing, confessing, repenting, being baptized and then living out that relationship. The Bible teaches, and we practice water immersion as the mode of baptism.
